Dracula 1931

For Halloween, I watched the original Dracula. Obviously movies were different in 1931, but wow... So many things happen in that movie and are just not explained. Why did Dracula want to go to London? Why did Dr. Seward keep his adult daughter on the campus of his sanitarium? What brought Van Helsing to the sanitarium? He and Seward seem to be friends so I assume a telegram was sent asking for help. But Seward seems to completely disbelieve that anything paranormal is happening. So why call Van Helsing in the first place? We never saw for sure if Dracula was killed. Then the movie ends abruptly with Mina and John leaving the castle. We must take her word for it that the sunrise prevented Dracula from fully converting her into a vampire.

Mysteries are good, but these things aren't just mysteries they are things that should be explained.
